Bo Cross Stabbed

Bo Cross was walking in to a West knoxville restaurant when he heard some yelling.  "I saw a man and woman really chewing out a little girl.  I thought, wow she's in some big trouble.  I just walked on, assuming her parents were just getting on to her".  But then Bo heard something else.  "I heard a weird sound, not a smacking sound but more like it sounds when someone gets punched in the head.  I turned and saw the man beating the girl with his fists.  She was trying to protect herself but her mom wouldn't let her get up.  It shocked me".  Bo knew then that he had to intervene as he didn't know if this was the girl's parents or not.  "I'm not against spanking but hitting a little girl with your fists, that's not right."  Bo went to the couple and asked them to stop.  "I said, please stop hitting her. Hit me if you need someone to punch, but please stop punching that little girl".  Then, the couple turned on him screaming obscenities.  "Before I knew it, someone had come up from behind me and had me a head lock while the man and woman began beating me in the face.  I tried to swing wildly to protect myself and even though I hit both of them at least once, they didn't stop."  A lady from the restaurant came out to try and intervene and the woman that was beating on Bo turned and knocked that lady out cold.  "She literally was out, flat on her back."

Fishing Team featured in article in Sunday's Paper of Knoxville News Sentinel

Fight Like a Man ministries was highlighted in a great article by writer Chad Gay in the Sunday June 12th edition of the Knoxville News Sentinel.  The Sentinel has a reader coverage area of over a half a million people.  To see the article in its entirety just click here.

Special thanks to Chad Gay who wrote a great article that was very respectful and a great representation of who we are and what we are about.

Red River Tour Stop

After signing her shirt "To Ralph, you are at work and your wife is at the fishing show" he decided to show up the next day.  A good sport.

Good friend of the ministry, Shane Long, last years PAA Table Rock Lack Champion

The Red River that flows through Shreveport Louisianna among other cities and towns was over the banks during the last FLW stop.  Bo Cross came agonizingly close to another $10,000 payday - a mere 12 ounces - but did move up in the points standings.  More details to come soon.  Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Professional National Tournament Trails we are on this year

National Pro Tours that we are active on this year include:

Sponsors and Partners

Sponsors are a big part of tournament fishing and our ministry loves this concept.  Why?  Because each sponsor that we take on we consider partners.  We not only love their products but also their people and what they stand for.  Having people that are actually out using their products helps these organizations to make improvements so they can offer their customers the best.  We have had many organizations ask to sponsor or partner with us, but only a few have we felt a true partnership connection with.  While we are still adding more and more, we especially believe in these organizations and would whole heartedly recommend that you do business with them as well.

Two New Members of the Team

Clayton Tibbit - Junior Pro

The Fight for Manhood fishing team added two new members this weekend at the Red River in Shreveport Louisianna.  Brandon St. Amant, a local fireman, has been fishing for many years with a successful track record in local tournaments.  Clayton Tibbit, the Junior Pro selection, has started fishing tournaments with his father and is looking forward to someday trying his luck at real tournament fishing.  Both live and fish in the Northern Louisiana and Eastern Texas area.  Be on the lookout for them if you are ever on the lake in that area!

FLW Fishing pro Bo Cross talks about our sponsors

FLW Tour - Chickamauga

After a slow first day, Bo Cross has the 10th largest weight on day 2.  "I didn't adjust well to the drop in water level.  The spot I had was blocked on Thursday.  There was maybe an inch or two of water at the entrance.  I could sit there and look back in the pocket and see the big ones swimming around back there but couldn't get to them."  But day 2 was different.  "I went to my strength and went way up the river.  I just about had it all to myself.  It didn't take long for me to start filling the boat.  It's hard not to wonder what would have happened if I would have done that on day one."  Bo didn't realize that his weight on day 2 - almost 17pounds - if also caught on day 1, would have put him in 9th place and kept him fishing for the $125,000.

Bo Cross makes it to the weekend

Friday afternoon was a long day for Fight Like a Man Ministries Pro Bo Cross.  After weighing in early he now stood at the edge of his boyhood dream.  "I was in 14th place in an FLW Major Tour Event.  And I couldn't enjoy it, yet".  Bo knew there were many top notch and world class anglers who had yet to weigh in their day's catch.  Some were past Forrest Wood Cup Champions and Bass Master Classic Champions.  And it was a long wait.....  (Click Heading for More)

Bo Cross FLW Tour partnership

Bass fishing's popularity has risen drastically over the last few years and many of our graduates are avid bass anglers. The Bass Elite Series and the FLW Tour are the most elite of professional anglers - equal to the NFL, NBA, or Major League Baseball. Bass anglers seem to be a very open audience to the message of Fight Like a Man. The ministry will have a booth at most of the Tour stops where fans can come by and get information.....  (Click Heading for More)
